About EHC
The European Horticultural Congress (EHC) is the leading horticultural scientific event in Europe and a major quadrennial congress organized under the auspices of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS). The congress provides a unique platform for researchers, industry professionals, policymakers and students to exchange knowledge, present innovations and discuss the future of horticulture.
The VI European Horticultural Congress (EHC2028) will take place in Murcia, Spain, from 3 to 7 April 2028. Under the theme “Adapting to Climate Change”, the congress will provide an international forum to discuss innovative solutions, emerging technologies and scientific advances aimed at addressing one of the greatest challenges facing horticulture today. EHC2028 will explore strategies that enhance resilience, improve resource efficiency and support the development of sustainable production systems capable of meeting future environmental, economic and societal demands.
Inspired by the shape of a leaf and a constellation of interconnected nodes, the EHC2028 logo symbolizes the diversity, connectivity and innovation that define modern horticultural science. The leaf represents horticulture, growth and sustainability, while the network reflects the scientific collaboration, knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary partnerships that drive progress across Europe.
Each coloured node represents a distinct scientific perspective, reflecting the broad range of disciplines addressed throughout the congress and inspiring the visual identity of its symposia.
